Inaugural sculpture competition announced


This year, Heritage Building Society Gardenfest is celebrating the outdoors with the art community with the inaugural…. Heritage Building Society Gardenfest Sculpture Competition.

Each entrant will receive:

-Artist’s bio on the website and social media

-Photo of entry on the website and social media

-Sign with bio, photo and artist statement beside each work on-site

-Media release in local media, website and social media on artist’s involvement

A media release outlining the winning entry will be distributed to local media in the week following the event.

To participate, please fill out this form and return it by 5pm, 28 March 2011.

Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers kicks off - Launch


The who's who of Heritage Building Society Gardenfest: NGIQ CEO Don Scotts, Heritage Building Society CEO John Minz, SQIT Director Trevor Schwenke and TRC Tourism, Events and Parks Services leader, Councillor Joe Ramia.


Heritage Building Society CEO John Minz saying Gardenfest will be an event to help people move on from difficulties of the summer floods.


New sponsor PowerBlend was represented by Darren Webb at the launch with SQIT horticulture teacher and celebrity speaker Brian Sams.


TRC Tourism, Events and Parks Services leader, Councillor Joe Ramia.

Welcome to Heritage Building Society Gardenfest



Gardenfest is turning 30!

In 2011, the event will have been running for 30 years in the Garden City, so help us celebrate in the biggest and best Gardenfest yet.

Have a great long weekend over the ANZAC holiday then come along to Gardenfest to be challenged, inspired and fill up on great regional food and wine.

WHEN: 30 April, 1 + 2 May 2011

WHERE: Southern Queensland Insitute of TAFE, Campbell Street
