The May Planting Dance debuted at the launch by performers from Dance Central and will be a feature of the entertainment program throughout Heritage Building Society Gardenfest – The Gardening and Gourmet Weekend. The threatening storm in the background seems a positive sign for a good season!

Don't miss this year's Gardenfest, it's bigger and better than ever!

Southern Queensland Insitute of TAFE, Campbell Street

Highlights include:

- Children's area: weaving, potting, paper making, face painting and creating, plus Crazy Candles is on-site to make mum her own candle for Mother's Day!

- Hebel Sculpture Workshops: register now to undertake a master class and take home your very own sculpture

- Gardening Gurus: Colin Campbell, Annette McFarlane, Brian Sams, Justin Russell and more

- Sustainability: The Meter Man, Square-foot gardening, Composting, Chook Tractor, Companion Planting, Biodynamic/Organic Gardening

- Live Entertainment: See the inaugural May Planting Dance performed by a bevy of beauties from Dance Central each day, plus Alan Mackey, Robert Wharton and Two's Company

- Food and wine: wood-fired pizzas, organic and gluten-free kitchen, burgers, bratwursts, proffitjes and much more!

- 20 green life plant sellers: camellias, vireyas, natives, bulbs and such a wide variety from tubestock to mature trees

- Landscape displays

- Garden Clubs and Societies: over 300 blooms being judges, floral art, hibiscus, geranium, orchids, roses, natives

- Competitions: pick your favourite scarecrow, guess the height of a tree, enter to win a holiday at the Gold Coast.

Gates open 830am-430pm Sat/Sun & 9am-3pm Mon

Entry: $6. Children under 12 free.
